We are now expanding our team to support the increasing number of students and graduates from China who are choosing to study, stay, and work in Australia.

About the Role

We are seeking a Registered Migration Agent with experience in student and graduate visa pathways, specifically for clients from Mainland China. You’ll be responsible for advising students, liaising with education partners, and managing visa applications from end to end.

The ideal candidate is fluent in both Mandarin and English, culturally confident, and experienced in working with international students or education providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored visa and migration advice to prospective Chinese international students and graduates
  • Manage student visa (subclass 500), graduate visa (subclass 485), and other relevant applications
  • Liaise with education agents, institutions, and clients in Mandarin and English
  • Assess eligibility, prepare documentation, and lodge compliant visa applications
  • Respond to RFIs and handle communication with the Department of Home Affairs
  • Maintain case records and ensure all client files are accurate and compliant
  • Educate clients on post-study PR pathways and visa conditions
  • Assist in translating or reviewing Chinese documents (where required)

Requirements

  • Current registration with OMARA as a Registered Migration Agent
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in student/graduate visas and/or migration consulting
  • Fluent in both Mandarin and English (written and spoken)
  • Strong understanding of the Australian international education sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Client-first mindset with cultural sensitivity

Nice to Have

  • Established relationships with Chinese student networks or education agents
  • Experience using platforms like ImmiAccount, CRMs, or case management systems
  • Familiarity with post-study PR pathways (189, 190, 485, etc.)
